Katera Y. Moore


Dr. Moore is an urban geographer who thinks critically about the political and economic structures that create inequality and considers food justice and health disparities to be an outcome of residential segregation. She has taught undergraduates at various institutions since 2007.

Dr. Moore received both her BA in Urban Studies and her Masters of Environmental Studies from The University of Pennsylvania. Her passion for environmental justice issues led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Earth & Environmental Science and certificate in Africana Studies at The Graduate Center in New York. Her dissertation focused on environmental justice in post-industrial Philadelphia. She also has a certificate in Institutional Research & Assessment for Higher Education Decision Making.
