Sara Trunzo is an award-winning songwriter specializing in alternative country, Americana, and folk writing and performance. A background in farming, sustainability, and rural community organizing informs both her craft and content. In her teaching, facilitation, and coaching- Trunzo helps students cultivate songs that instigate personal and social healing, truth-telling, and transformation.
Trunzo draws influence from- and has studied with- master songwriters Darrell Scott and Mary Gauthier. Her debut EP ‘thanks birdie’ dropped in 2017; she toured nationally in 2018; and a full-length album ‘Dirigo Attitude’ is slated for an early 2019 release. She holds a BA in Environmental Writing from Unity College. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, Waldo County, Maine, and on the road.
